Meet your local flower farmer.

Hi! I’m Chelsea, owner of Sunnyside Urban Farm. I am the grower of all the beautiful flowers we sell and also tend a flock of 30 hens and 2 roosters on the farm. I am one of the creative visions behind this farming journey, and envision a small orchard, berry patch and vineyard down the road. Gratefully, I am lovingly supported by my amazing farmhand husband. Together, we raise 6 busy children that keep us on our toes.

If you are following along my story, you might be interested in the growth journey, or you might love purchasing my beautiful flowers and eggs, or attending some of the fun classes offered, or maybe your are here for a few gardening tips…. whatever has brought you here, I am glad you found Sunnyside!

A little about me: my journey of growing flowers has helped me become more in-tune with myself, with nature, the seasons, and the nuances in the world around me. I love to see others connect with those elements as well.

I am passionate about learning, self-development and human rights. I am a community ambassador for the non-profit organization Water for South Sudan. I have helped raise over $45,000 in funds for this cause— providing clean water and new water wells in 3 different villages impacting over 3,020 individuals, 1,050 cows, and 3,600 goats. I am currently working on funding our 4th water well.

I am a certified yoga instructor in Ashtanga, Yin, Prenatal, Restorative, and Breathwork. I often create experiences where both of these talents collide in a beautiful immersion. I look forward to bringing my background and these elements into our gardens.

I love the outdoors- I am an avid hiker. I have hiked all 7 peaks over the 10,000 ft elevation mark surrounding our Utah Valley. As I look out at the mountain peaks from the valley floor that surrounds my flower garden, I can say I have been to every mountain top! I love to adventure with my husband and will try anything adventurous that doesn’t involve jumping out of a plane. Together, we love to rock climb, kayak, rappel, snow shoe, snorkel and sail.

Like wildflowers; You must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.
