Private U-Pick Experience

Come and experience our flower farm! Our U-Pick events are one of the favorite experiences we offer June through August.

Sunnyside primarily sells cut flowers to florists, at wholesale markets, and through CSA subscriptions— but we also like to provide the opportunity for the public to enjoy our farm. Once you visit, you’ll soon see that we aren’t just about the flowers. We are about the entire experience. Part of our ethos is to provide an opportunity for people to connect with nature in an urban setting. We purposefully curate the beauty of our farm with just as much care and attention as we do the cut flowers we grow.

Our journey is just beginning, so over time, we hope you’ll see our land and structures change as we continue to grow and beautify this space we love. This also provides a new and unique experience each time you visit.

We want to share the beauty we have created with you: from the land you walk on, to the rows you meander between, the event space you gather in when attending classes, and the flowers you take home. It’s a special piece of land, and we think you’ll agree.

While our farm may be small, those who visit say they feel something special here. As heritage farms are becoming developed into neighborhoods, it’s becoming more rare to see garden spaces in our urban settings, and the interactions with people and nature is happening less often. We love to open our space to others for this purpose: couples on a date, women with friends, mothers with daughters of all ages— gardens are a place of connection and we love being a part of that process.

We hope you will enjoy our little slice of heaven. U-Pick events can happen throughout the summer growing season upon request. Please inquire about reserving a private U-Pick event for your small group. This is an ideal experience for bridal showers, baby showers, small corporate offsite events, or friend group nights. We will provide you with water, clippers and instructions. Each guest will need to bring a small container or vessel to carry home their flowers in. Note that not all flower rows are available for U-pick guests. A minimum booking of $300 is required to reserve the flower farm for your event. This will accommodate 10 people with a bouquet of 15 stems: 5 each of focal flower, filler flower and foliage. Premium flowers like Dahlia’s, and Lisianthus can be purchased by the stem a la carte. If you need additional reservations for guests, an added fee of $35 per person (up to 5 extra guests allowed- 15 total) will be charged.
