Wrapping Up a Beautiful Season + Looking Ahead to 2026 Blooms

As we wrap up another wonderful flower subscription season here at Sunnyside Urban Farm, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. Each bouquet that left the farm this year carried months of planning, early mornings, and so much love — and it’s been pure joy to see them brightening homes all across our community.

Even though the fields are slowing down, this is actually one of the busiest times on the farm. Fall is when all the planning and preparation for next spring happens.

Did you know that most of the spring flowers you’ll enjoy next year were planned almost a full year in advance? My planting plans, color palettes, and bulb and corm purchases for spring 2026 were all finalized last spring! By the time those blooms reach your bouquets, they’ve already been part of a year-long cycle of dreaming, digging, and growing.

Right now, I’m busy prepping the beds and enriching the soil so that those bulbs can grow strong underground all winter long. It’s a quiet kind of magic — planting hope now for something that won’t blossom until months down the road.

This week on Instagram, I’m sharing our Seasonal Collections for 2026 — highlighting what’s to come for Spring, Summer, and Fall. You’ll see a few sneak peeks of the varieties that will make their debut next year, along with familiar favorites like peonies, lilacs, spirea, and blossoming branches that will return to the lineup.
